Topic: Yay a normal name!! Posted: 14 July 2008 at 2:35pm |
Matthew McConaughey's GF had a baby last week and they called the little boy Levi Elvis. Levi is from the bible something about being short for Matthew.

Its an alternate form of Matthew (think its the hebrew version). He was born at 6.22 and apparently that verse in the book of Matthew is one of his favourites!!

Here you go....according to an online bible....the verse is
The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light.
Kinda nice!

It's Levi Alves (his GF's surname) McConaughey, not Elvis
But it is, finally, a lovely normal name

Yay you have your name back and sorted Charly!
I like the name Levi ...funny how you hear all these interesting names AFTER you've had & named your kid.
Still glad I chose Lucas though ...doesn't seem to be many of them around
ETA: Well, in comparison to the amount of baby 'ella's' I meet ...I swear thats the most popular girls name of 2007

Levi is normal!?!? nice but I still think it's usual (perhaps that's because I'm not at all religious?!?!).
Nice verse though

Well I guess it is "normal" compared to some of them out there e.g. Sunday, Pilot Inspektor, Moon Unit etc

Maddi was almost a Levi.
I love the name, i guess knowing quite a few makes it seem quite normal.

Levi is quite common as a jewish name, an improvement on some celebrity baby names.

Levi is not a common name but I think it is a traditional name.
