I wondering has anyone experiences their LO's eczema flare up badly post-breastfeeding or with neocate? or what else can be?
My 14months old DS been on Neocate Advanced for a week and half now and finally weaned off breastfeeding last saturday. Since I weaned him off breastmilk, his eczema got worse, worse and worse, today it was in bad state, very different eczema reaction to Soy's allergy reaction's. I am trying to work out myself before see GP again  (not another trip ..) However, when he woke up in the morning, his eczema is so calm, no reddish/flare up then it built up through a day so by the evening, it was very bad.....
He doesn't have soy, milk, wheat, fish, peanuts, nuts and egg!! so main allergies have been ruled out 
I wondering has your LO's eczema flare up when switch to Neocate Advanced then calm down few weeks later?
Or did your LO's eczema flare up once you stopped breastfeeding? and did you manage to find the cause?
I am more toward to something do with postbreastfeeding because he was fine with Neocate during breastfeeding...

Oh Soph you seem to be having such a bad run. We didn't have any problems when I stopped breastfeeding and started on Neocate. Because you have most the foods covered could it be something environmental that is causing the excema flare ups. Have you been playing outside or changed any of your cleaning products?? I'm not much help but that is just a thought

Spencer has recently had an ezcema flare up and I didn't and still don't know the cause. We went back to allergy paed and had more tests for ryegrass, birch trees, mixed tree pollen, dust mite and cats. The only one he reacted to was cats but it was such a small reaction the doc said it most likely wasn't the cause and he only reacted to it because of us having 4 cats. The strange thing is whilst waiting for the appointment his ezcema pretty much resolved itself (I had only used lemnis cream on it, and a tiny bit of hydrocortisone on the worst bits). The doc thinks it was something enviromental but could have been anything I thought it was possibly a pollen as it started it turned up around the same time that DHs hayfever started playing up.
I hope you find the cause, or that it resolves itself anyway.
We are due to switch to neocate advance, should have the tins here on Monday, so I will let you know if swapping causes us any issues.

Thanks Tania, in fact I am having bad month with both DD and DS2...been to dr at least once a week for last two months now, it seem it is DD's turn, then when she recover, it is DS2's turn etc, seem they pass the parcel between them. Dr is very helpful and can see the problem I am having with both of them...BUT good news is my DD's eczema have nearly complete clean up after had it bad since she was 10 months old..cause? it was soy and wheat allergy. At first, I thought " nah" but I took her off soy and wheat as well as DS2. DD's ezcema start to clean up, then I made birthday cake for my OH's birthday with normal flour  and next two day was nightmare with both of them, poor sleeping at nights due to eczema's flare up.. Took them off wheat for good till follow advice about using Spelt flour because DD's tested mild positive mean mild allergy. Spelt flour "suitable" for people with mild wheat allergy...no no she had very bad eczema flare up and her behaviour changed. So no spelt flour for her and she is now strictly wheat free as well as soy, nuts, peanuts and egg!! For DS2...well....Saw Dr, he think pollens might be the blame despite negative tests (test results now threw out of window because he had already reacted to wheat, fish and soy despite skin pricks tested show negatives!!!) and gave us stronger hydrocortisone cream, bath oils and more lenmis fatty cream!

As I mentioned to Tania above, the test also show negative to pollens for DS2 and now thinking the whole test result is incorrect because he has already show reaction to wheat, soy and fish despite negative results...oddly? he hasn't has anti-histamine during 3 days before test but can't remember did I put hydrocortisone on him that day.....normally I don't put it on for skin prick test. I will watch his pattern of eczema to see what can be, also looking into strawberry that is only odd food he has in last week (he has strawberry once before but he was already had eczema flare up during that time to notice the difference)

Yep Spencer can't have strawberry even though skin prick test was negative to strawberries. Dr said that it was probably a chemical reaction and adviced that he didn't eat them until he is at least 2.
I'm not quite sure what chemical reaction is though, all I know is that when he first had strawberries at around 7 months his face came out in big red blotches, but no ezcema or allergy rash like he has had with other foods (and whatever caused flare up this time). He has been fine with all other berries so far.
If it is a pollen probably not much you can do apart from treat the symptoms anyway. Hope it clears up soon, ezcema sucks.

Isla had a massive excema flare up the other day from sunscreen Also the heat makes hers worse too. I know I am being affected heaps at the moment by pollen etc.
Isla improved when I stopped bf as she was intollerant to other stuff in my diet that we didnt know she couldnt tollerate- like tomatoes etc .
I hope u find out whats going on soon.
