Wow, Chloe, that must be really tough. I know someone who has what you have. She is being treated overseas, and is on DHEA. Have you looked into that?

Hi Weta thanks for your reply :Wink) yup! I tried that DHEA before my IVF last year but still it did'nt work as well ,I wonder my next plan will be acupuncture and herbal medicine??

Is it really effective? for someone who has low ovarian reserve? I hope someone out there has experience regarding a good fertility naturopath and acupuncturist Im in north shore area. Thanks again.. CHLOE 06 Smile

Sorry, I can't help, I'm not in Wellington. I really feel for you though. We can change lots of things about out lives, but unfortunately we can't control the aging process. And for some people, some bits wear out a little earlier than others. Stupid ovaries.

Did you have a review appointment with your specialist after your last IVF? My friend overseas, her doctor is talking about using a donor's egg. Is this something you'd consider?

Yeah! Weta I talked to my fertility specialist last week and she told me that the only way to get pregnant is to have a egg donor!!! Gee...

So easy to say but really sounds complicated! I really i want to consider it but I dont know where to find a donor because i don have a sister or perpective donor. Huh! I really need a miracle

I haven't looked into egg donation here, but I've heard there's a long waiting list. I know of someone who is travelling to South Africa to receive a donated egg. Donors there are compensated for their efforts, so it sounds like there are more donors than here. I think this lady said it was costing around $15k all up, including travel. Perhaps something to google? You could have a miracle and a holiday at the same time!
