If you get the ones with two rows of poppers along the top, they are great. You can fold over the top and use the lower set, so it's much smaller. The 'tongue' also folds up to suit.
I haven't used a bitti boo though. Are they fitted nappies? I thought they were a 'two in one' type system.
To be honest though; I used nappies specifically for newborns for the first three months or so. I got a hire kit from YoYo in Nelson. They were brilliant and way better than any 'one size fits most' nappies. The covers were newborn sized too.
I loved the bitto boo fitted nappy for my wee girl. Very absorbent and so cute! Havent tried Bamboozles though. I liked fitteds for when she was a baby and got some gorgeous homemade ones from TM. The other good thing for newborns though is flats and prefolds. You have to change them so often anyway as newborns cause they poop so often so absorbency isnt really a main factor in choosing a nappy. But yeah a hire kit can be an excellent idea too.
Thanks ladies.
I have used the boo with my son (in medium and large, not as a newborn) and we quite like it...used fitteds and covers on him as a newborn and found them good but got some leaks and they were a similar nappy to the bamboozle but I've only heard good things about them.
I've purchased a couple of bamboozles and was considering getting some more and maybe a boo - but might hold fire until the new and improved boo comes out...sometime soon.
Definitely using prefolds and covers too.
