Hi ladies.

I know there are heaps of ladies on this forum, so I am broadening my question further than the TWW thread that I spend most of my time in

I've tried to do some research around progesterone pessaries, as I have just been given them by FA to start taking tomorrow. They are assuming I'm OV today. I'm not sure that I am as I only got my first +ve OPK last night, and I usually OV at least two days after the +ve. So my question is, anyone had experience with progesterone pessaries? And does anyone think I should wait a few days before I take them - maybe till I get my clear shift in temps to show OV?

A bit of background - FA has suggested PP as a next step after 5 early MC's (two in a row last 2 cycles). I am on 4th round of clomid, and also taking Aspirin. My bloods that were taken with my first 3 rounds of monitored clomid at FA showed progesterone around 90 (that was one cycle I think) on CD20, usually 5 days after OV. So there is a chance that my progesterone is dropping off afterwards, therefore not sustaining the pregnancies. So.... here i have the PP. I am taking a total of 600mg a day (2 pills 3 tims daily - oh fun ) and am just wondering if I should be waiting to take them. Why take them straight after OV? They only gave me enough for 10 days so are they thinking that's all I'll need? That would only take to to, at a guess, 10DPO (going by FA calculation of OV today)

Any feedback/comments from ladies from any corner of this forum would be appreciated

Sorry storm I've never used PP but I have used cream and my naturopath always said to start it CD18 from memory. Obviously different way of taking it so I could be way off. Just thought I'd share. Will follow your experience closely though.

Thanks for the reply BC. I had a temp rise this morning so thinking OV was yesterday, but just to be sure I decided to wait until tomorrow's rise before I take the PP's. Then I will actually be CD18

Yep you take them straight after ovulation.
Or with IVF you start taking them the day after you've had your eggs taken out.

They are messy little things LOL
