Give Up Work?

Hi, we're expecting our first child this year and we're not sure how the money side of things works. We're both working now and get around $116k combined. We've tried using the WFF calculators but it sounds like if one of us quit work we'd be down to one income but would still only get a maximum of $11 a week or nothing at all, depending on who quit. Is anyone in a similar boat? Does that sound right? We need to work out if we can afford to have one of us stay at home or if we both have to keep working so we can pay for all the baby stuff, the mortgage, bills, etc. Thanks in advance :-)
