Topic: *TMI* Af issues... Posted: 16 September 2009 at 12:33pm |
today is my 3-4 day of cycle - came 3 days early which is most unusual for this 28 dayer!
no cramps etc...just burning hips for a few days...
issue today is (and it is TMI so youve been warned!) - Ive flowed so much yest I filled 5 pads...most unusual for me...and then today passed (easily & no pain!) a massive clot - about 10 cms or a bit less round and a 5-8 cm long one....
is this a clean out or a MC or ???? I have no cramping or pain, no AF other symptoms etc etc... as we about to restart on clomid next month will this affect it I wonder....I have not had such massive clots since gawd knows when....

I have no idea, but I think you should see your dr.

I had the exact same last month Bombshell, I put it down to either a MC or my body having a clean out! I normally have a 3 day AF and last month it lasted 10 days long with heavy heavy bleeding and major clots.
So not cool ahy! Especially when you are not used to it!
Sorry I am no help, but you are not alone in the mystery of random AF's!!

Gosh, doesn't sound fun
Could you possibly do a POAS test? If it's a MC your hcg might still be high enough to be detected.
Otherwise, see your doctor - even if it's just to put your mind at ease

a couple months ago i was the same two days early which never happens and huge clots BUT i was also in extreme pain...so hmmm, i would def go to dr sooner rather than later as if MC than they can detect the leftover HCG....goodluck hun

Bombshell, didn't want to read and run. I did have that once many years ago - period went for 12 days and I had to go to Dr and have a preg test. Nothing came out of it, but it was just a one off. Sorry I can't be of more help. I do hope it stops for you, but would also recommend checking in with your Dr.
Good luck with restarting on clomid

i have had that happen only once and it was yuck. i can remember having bad cramps and a heavy flow for a day or 2. i personally think that it was a very early mc. i went to the doc a week later and they tested my levels but they were all normal again. the doc did suggest if it ever happened again to take IT (the clot) in to show them and get tested. Don't know about you but that was the last thing on my mind!
i hope everything works out well for you and ttc.

yep def the last thing on my mind was to recover them to take for a car ride!! ugh!!!
still bleeding and random things...but best way of desribing this one is a grating inside me...not AF cramps or anything just rumbly kind of feeling and mega headache today - but that might be caused by being in a conference and bad lights...which has meant ive just had to get on with it...altho all i want to do is go to my bed....
I dont mind if it was a MC and dont want to know really so wont do a POAS etc...but thank you for ideas....will see what is going on after weekend and if still bleeding etc then will go see doc...cause this is not a normal AF...

It is possible that it was an early MC. I had what I thought was one in feb this year I was in the shower and could feel the clot coming out TMI so I grabbed it and investigated and it was like skin.
After talking to the doc he said sometimes your uterus sheds its lining, a bit like a snake sheds its outside skin occasionally.
Not sure if that helps but that was something I didnt know about.

i have big clotty yuck every now and then - not heaps... but it does happen. sometimes i think we just dont realise and its not till we really start to watch and look more closely at what our bodies are doing do we realise it... and of course when we are TTC is when we do start paying a bit more attention.
