Hi Happy,
wishing you the best of luck for your 3rd IVF cycle...does it get any easier along the way or I would think it gets quite consuming, you deserve to have a grumpy day and go with it I say.Fingers crossed for a BFP with this transfer and do you mind if I ask if you are getting good embies, and are you transferring day 3 embies or day 5 blastocycsts?
I've had my 1st IVF cycle which got stopped at the transfer stage because they couldnt get the embies in so they were put on ice. I've had to have a quick operation to fix a couple of things and now booked in for my TER tomorrow. A bit nervous as hoping the little embies survive the thaw and also they can get them in this time.
Hope you are having a good weekend, maybe you need to change your name to grumpy not happy til tomorrow - lol

Hi tanners
I make really good blasties which is frustrating that it hasn't worked yet....my last tx it was even hatching so who know's what was wrong!! I have to have my cervix dilated before tx's because of scar tissue, I had some pre cancerous cells removed year's ago think it was a cin 3....
LOL hmmm maybe I should change my name. Although am feeling much better today!
It has got very consuming and really is still very upsetting getting a bfn bt result.
All the best for you TER tomorrow

Hi everyone
I have just started the buserelin injections last tuesday on our first cycle. It's all pretty scary and exciting. I have been feeling pretty yuck and definatly a little whiney lol. I have high fsh and am on highest med doses so the nurses said to expect to feel crap.
It's so nice to have others to talk to though
Hope everything went well today Tanners.

Hi everyone,
I've just finished a cycle of IUI which ended up with a BFN. Definitely the hardest 2ww I've ever been through. Now on the pill waiting to try to fit an IVF cycle in before xmas.
I've just spent the weekend visiting friends most of whom are either pregnant now, or have just given birth. And THEN my sister announces she's preg with number 4. Of course I'm happy for her but MAN its hard not to be impatient!!! I think I would go crazy without being able to read about others' experiences. Thanks for starting this specific chat.
I'm sure it will be all our turns soon
Nicky

Hi girls
I think I'm lucky as i don't get to emotional on the buserelin just minor headaches, and I was a bit grumpy the other day....
I had a bt today to check how I'm going on the gonal so should hear today when my first scan for this cycle will be..... yay feels like time is going so slow and I'm not even at the tww yet!!!
Nicky I find it really hard when I feel like I'm the only one out of my friends who is not pregnant or already has kids.... even my df has a son from a previous marriage... arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
and although you are happy for your sister it just makes your pain all the more real..... and it makes me feel sad formeyself when I alway's hear someone else is pregant!!
But we will get there!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone
Unfortunately neither of our embies survived the thaw so no transfer yesterday. Me and DH are just so so disappointed.
Its funny but I've been completely fine and optimistic throughout the this whole IVF process but today found myself getting a bit upset about it all.
Happy - I also had a pre cancerous cells removed years ago and had a recent operation to dilate my cervix so mock transfers for me also.
Good luck Hope1, chiqa and Nickypicky with your treatment.
Chiqa - I also have high FSH and was put on the highest med doses and responded really well to them. If you have any questions or concernss, let me know I'd be happy to share what I know.
take care everyone

Hi everyone
thanks for all your lovely replies.
Next step for us is a government funded cycle coming up in Jan (last one was private - ouch). We were really lucky the clinic helped us secure one, and anyone funding there own treatments know how great it is to get a little help on the financial side, but most of all to give us another chance.
So for the next couple of months I am going to start charting (it all looks quite complex) but going to get a BBT today and me and DH will go for gold.
Happy - how are you going on the gonal F now, have you got a date for your scan and BT.
Hope1- good luck for your injections on the 14th
Chiqa - how are you feeling on the buserilin injections, hope not too bad, just wait til you start adding in the gonal F as well - good luck!

Yay Happy thats great- good luck
Tanners- hope that the next cycle goes better fingers crossed!
Start injections tomorrow- we're going out for dinner so I am going to have to do it in a restaurant toilet- not happy about that- any suggestions!!??
Am feeling really nervous- this is our second private cycle and if it doesn't work we have to wait for public and we not eligible for waiting list until June 10.
My specialist felt that sperm quality is an issue (DH had vasc reversal and has antibodies) so I am so scared now that this will never happen- and wonder where that will leave us as its something I have always wanted!!
Sucks!
Bit low today, think just tired

Happy - good luck with EC on Sunday - keep us posted!
Hope1 - I've had to do the same in a restaurant toilet! I prepared my injection before I left home and put it in a small tupperware container cellotaped to the sides so it didn't move. I then put the container in a plastic bag with an icepack so all I had to do was pull it out and stick it in! Ahhhh the things we do!
Sorry to hear you are feeling a bit low today, it happens to us all and can come out of the blue. Keep positive as it sounds you have loads to be excited about with this treatment could come the BFP you are hoping for and it will be comforting to know that you have a funded cycle as a backup just over the horizon. As for DH - there is so much they can do now - it sounds faaaaarrrrr from over for you.
hmmmm shame you cant pour yourself a nice glass of wine, maybe you should do some retail therapy this weekend to cheer you up!

Hiya,
Lots happening in here!!
Good luck for trigger injection Happy and Hastie, not long to go for you guys!
Hope1, its understandable to be a bit low after what you have just been through! Hope you start to feel a better soon.
Not much happening for us now, we decided to put our last transfer on hold (even though I had already started on the drugs). I haven't been overly well lately and we have a fair amount of stress going on in our lives right now, so decided to wait until the new year for our last embie. Want to be as healthy as possibly can to have the best possible chance.
I hated to delay things but hope its for the best, January will be the start of our 6th year of TTC and time is ticking on!!
Hope you ladies don't mind me lurking in here and keep up with what you are doing.
Wishing you all the very best.

Hi guys, I'm lurking in here too - hope you don't mind either! It's just nice to keep in touch with those going through IVF, I don't want to 'lose' my contacts with the forum as it's been able to help keep me sane since May!!!
Good luck to those of you underway with IVF - it's an exciting/nervous time and very emotional!
I'm like you scaredycat - we're going to put off our last transfer until next year - maybe even Feb/Mar. I want to get into good health, and we're going to the natural fertility clinic to do everything we can to optimise our health and fertility before we do the transfer. They like 3-4 months I think, hence the timing of transfer.
We go back to the specialist on the 25th so want to hassle him to see where we sit on the public wait list. Hopefully we will get in next year (if transfer doesn't work) as he was going to put us through as an exception.
Tanners and Happy, I also have had precancerous cells removed - a cone biopsy in 2001 and then a lletz loop biopsy again in 2006. In my last transfer they had to inject the cervix to dilate it and then use something to keep it open - hmm, not the nicest. Just wonder if all the surgery has an effect on the 'stickability' of the embryo??
Take care guys and lots of positive thoughts being sent to you all having transfers

5 IVF/ICSI Cycles - 10 embryo's, 8 transfers, all BFN's.
Our journey to parenthood is over, and we join the unfortunate many for whom IVF does not work.
