I'm too freaken tired to put up with doing a search.

How long does Ranitidine (Peptisoothe) start to work.

I had to end up giving gaviscon in the night as the poor boy was just sobbing. He hadn't had gaviscon all day.

Isla needed both gaviscon before her 6 feeds a day, plus the ranitidine twice a day. I was told by Paed that it could take several weeks for the full effect to be evident, cos we were waiting for islas oesophagus to start to heal cos it was raw from the silent felfux burning her, and the ranitidine reduced the ammount of acid produced.

Ranitidine should start working within 48 hours if you are on the correct dose.

It is the best drug ever IMO! We don't use gaviscon anymore and just give the ranitidine 3 times a day.

It is weight depend so can take a wee bit to get the right dose.
