I am sooooo excited about daylight savings! recently Jake has been getting up at 4:30am, and not going back to sleep - at least it will be 5:30 now! woohoo! and I can go to bed early without feeling like such a nana!

4.30am?!?! holy crap.
Han gets up at 6am at the moment and I've not been so impressed with that. All I can say is thank god for Barney being on at a stupid hour of the morning and having a TV in my room!

4.30 OMG I just ingore Andrew at that hour hoping he will go back to sleep. He usually comes in and asks to go toilet so we take him and he goes back to bed. I'm hoping for Andrew to sleep in tomorrow and not get up till about 8am ish

Yeah I'm looking forward to it too cos ayja's been the same... however, i know for her it will be short lived cos i am about to start a run of 5 morning shifts.. meaning they will wake early anyway and get back into the habit..
The suckiest thing is, since i start at 7 am tomorrow morning.. i have to get up even earlier really - i loose out on an hour of sleep so tomorrow will be gruelling, lol. Would have loved to be on night shift tonight - they get to go home an hour early and still get paid for the full 8 hours.

Piper wakes at 4am every day, even if she has been up late the night before. I run my day on lots of coffee if I dont get a morning nana nap

we've been giving the boys dinner and bed time ten minutes earlier each day - so Taine was having his at 4:30 instead of 5, and his bedtime was 5:30 instead of 6, after three days....so tonight he will go to bed at 6:30, then the next day at6:20 until he's back to six o clock. *smiles smugly*. i'm about to do supermum dance....course no actual guarantee this plan will actually be obeyed, but at least i have a plan!

LOL Nikki - I do the exact same thing. Barney, then Hi 5, then Aladdin.... and people wonder why I have a TV in my room...
I'm looking forward to actually being awake long enough to watch some of my fave TV shows like Outrageous Fortune now that it will be an hour earlier...
Oh and good plan Liz -I hope it works! I can see us having problems as Miss Maya has decided that "dark time" is bed time and it won't be dark...

Feck. I completely forgot about the changes it would make to Han's bedtime. She's probably not going to go to bed until 9!!! Argh!!!!
It's also the worst time in the world to lose an hours sleep... just before my essay is due. The world is cruel. So cruel.

I have FIVE assignments due before the throngs of people arrive on labour weekend for Jake's birthday party. FIVE. and my plan did not work - jake has just gone to bed (usual bedtime is 7) and Taine went to bed just before the end of the zoo (usual bedtime is 6 - how cute was that baby giraffe>???)

I might have been on here while Han was glued to the TV watching the zoo.
My problem was that I had a shower with Han straight after dinner and she was actually easy to dress for once, preventing the struggle that usually tires her out before bed and also ready wayyy before time.
I tried to put her to bed at 7.30pm. She laughed at me. So then I was an extra bad mum and let her out again. (I think she laughed at me some more, but that could have been my imagination.) Gave her some of my dinner. Tried to put her down again. Didn't happen. So then I decided she could have another bottle of milk (to simulate bed time routine) and then she snuggled down and went to bed at 8.30pm. Will try for 15 minutes earlier tomorrow. Damnit.
On the plus side... I have finished most of my referencing tonight. Just have to do another proof read and corrections tomorrow and hand the stupid essay in. Yay!
And Liz - atleast they are due just before and not after... can you imagine trying to do last minute work with a house full of rellies?

Hannah has just slipped into the same routine. I just woke her up at the new 7am yesterday when she normally gets up, so was in the same routine for the day, went to bed after the zoo last night and woke up at 7am on the dot this morning. I was planning on doing what you did Liz, but kinda forgot and too lazy! Yay for my laziness
Hope your kiddies didnt wake up too early this morning...

We just did Erin's last two feeds of the day half an hour earlier than normal (well, DH actually "did" them) and it seems to have worked ! I can hear Erin stirring now, but hopefully she won't fully wake up for another 15 mins or so

Maya ended up staying up till 8.30pm coz she left her "Fussy" in teh car and had to wait for Mum and Dad to get home to get Fussy before she would go to bed.
But she did sleep until 8 this morning. In my bed mind you. Mum and Dad are in the spare bed, and I told Willie to sleep in Maya's bed coz the two of us just don't fit in our bed, and Maya takes up less space

Han slept in my bed too.
I went to bed quite late after doing my essay and knew that I would be exhausted if I had to keep putting her back in.
As a result... have to do 'tough mum' tonight. Ah well.. atleast I got my essay in.
