Hi! you could try using weleda baby teething powder, i just get a bit on my finger and rub it on their sore gums. It also hepls calm them down, as for the sleeping problem, i sit in a dark room with baby wrapped up tight and gently rock her and sing! shes the only one who dosent laugh at my singing!!!! sorry i cant help more.

Maya had bumps in her gums around 16 weeks, and cut her first tooth just before 5 mths. She never had any probs with teething tho, and cut all her teeth early. She had a full set, including 2 year molars, but 15 mths.

3 months for both of mine. Bonjella on the gums helps a bit. During the day when he has started solids wrapping a peice of frozen fruit in muzlin and letting him suck on it will help.

I got some bonjella for me when my wisdom teeth were painful as they came through. I noticed on the box at the time (1st year uni student procrastination) that there was a warning saying that bonjella was for external use only, and not to be put in the mouth!

what? - not to be put in the mouth that's mental.. i do however know that it isn't actually supposed to be used at the same time as pamol/paracetamol.

I used bonjala and a bit of pamol when K was teething.. and I used to walk around in a dark room with K when he wouldnt sleep rocking him, I used to also use a dummy until he self weaned at 4 months, I wasent big on dummys but it saved my sanity a lot..

I thought it was just products with asprin that you couldnt use with Bonjella and that pamol, panadol was fine as it isnt asprin based. Will have to look it up now.

Ok, I am bumping this topic because Joey started teething last week too, he is 15 weeks old. I don't have a problem with that the only thing that is weird is that both his canines down the bottom are coming through!! It's supposed to be the front bottom, then the front top etc. and the canines aren't supposed to come through for ages!! No sign of the other ones yet though. Should I worry about this and go see someone or just take it as one of those things??

its okay sometimes kids cross cut teeth. But you may find that the canines wont erupt just yet. They can come up and down for quite a while. If he was getting his molars and had none of his front teeth i may be a little worried as they have tendencies to drift forward and take the space of other teeth then you have crowding problems. But seeing as hes only 15 weeks I wouldnt stress.

Mum2Paris, why can't you use pamol with bonjela? I have been told by several doctors and pharmasists (sp?) that its fine. I alway check with a few different ppl before I do anything as I'm paranoid lol. During one particulary bad teething stage we used pamol, bonjela and weleda teething powder! And that was fine too :)
