I *finally* went and had the damn blood test. My thyroid and liver functions are great and my full blood count is normal. As for the levels of meds in my blood, who would know? It seems they *forgot* to check those.
Grrrr! That was THE most important one of all the things being tested! So now I get to go and have another blood test.
And to make me feel even better the psychiatrist is suggesting I try a mood stabiliser like lithium to go with the cocktail I'm already taking. I am so not keen on just popping pills willy nilly, I don't want to end up stuck on these meds for my whole entire life

emma your moods dont seem to be any more unstable than any other women i know... is this doc a man?

And I agree Gandt, I don't think my moods are unstable. I had one manic episode, thats all! Which was hardly surprising given everything that has been going on!

I guess you meant *shoot* yourself as in more needles being shot into veins?

I hate people who think they know & try & ruin your life with the "Oh you need to take this, you need to do that" And to think these kinds of people have spent heaps of money to get the psychiatric degree or whatever- to ruin "others" lives. There there is the lack of communication or sometimes too much between the different services.
How can one judge & diagnose when they do not know how you lived your life & how you have been treated along the way.
I hope that the bloods are all good & the "nurse" was good at her job so it didnt hurt. There are some idiots who cant even do that part right & tell you it shouldnt hurt. Dummies!!
