Yah saw that in news....only in OZ.....LOL

I must say that my Day care is awesome...they dont leave untill all kids are gone. And they charge for any one who goes past the 6pm mark $50 per 15 min. Which is fair and not just locking up and leaving with a child still inside. Crazy!

You have to wonder how long she'd been in that bouncer before she fell asleep. Such a dangerous situation for that poor little girl, what if she hadn't gone to sleep and the bouncer fell on her and she couldn't get if off her.

ETA: so it made sense.

I agree you do have to wonder how long she had been in that bouncer.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

That is shocking! Surely they have routines in place to make certain all the children have been picked up?
I don't understand why they waited around for so long for the manager to get there to unlock either?! 50 minutes is too long when its a baby on their own, I would have been breaking in!

Scary, scary stuff!

This story had me huffing and puffing around the office and making everyone read it. I was so angry! I think it might be a bit too close to home with daycare and all that.

In fact even just thinking about it makes me fume.

Ok so that made me angry

I always read things and wonder how I would react!
I would have lost the plot at the owner when they returned, there is no way that should happen!

OMG, I would have been smashing windows and getting in there to get my baby out.

That would so never happen at our daycare. Like yours Roksana, we get charged $50 for every 15 mins you are late and at least two teachers stay behind with the kiddies whose parents are late. I've late twice when, and it was horrible, but I knew he'd be ok with his lovely teachers.
