I saw that on the news clips but didn't read it (now I have). Kinda interesting that they have been found out about that product test wonder what else they may have miss guided us with.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Hold on....the one re Caregivers...how else are they suppose to get the truth out? to actually tel the caregivers that "oh we will be filming you to see if you are doing a good job?? hello!!!

I like Target and watch it every week!! I think the info they give us is really useful.....as for Fornaldyhyde....I wasnt that concerned about it...because they mentioned that we shouldnt ware any thing before washing it etc...which I always do!!

Hmmm...

Target is terrible. I had a girlfriend who was hired to be the 'mystery shopper' for target. On one occassion she had to go to various tyre shops and she came back with great reports on all the shops she went to. They basically told her they weren't interested in good reports, so go get some bad ones. It is scaremongering of the worst kind, making people thing that it is common for bad service to be provided, or for your plumber to sniff your knickers. It makes people paranoid and difficult to deal with if you work in a service based industry.

I don't think its necessarily Targets fault over formaldehyde. They would have had someone test the clothes to find those levels. The lab might have miscalculated (which coming from having worked in a lab, it does happen) or they could have tested a piece of fabric that could have had drops of it on from manufacturing. Theres so many reasons why they might have had really high results.

In the second series of Target (years and years ago) my friend was on it in the hidden camera test and he did everything right but they still had to say "oh he could of done this xyz (that wasn't needed to be done) just to say he didn't do a great job.

Yeah they're a bit over the top, that show. Great when it comes to important issues like how young you can be and still buy cigarettes, etc, and the amount of tradies who go through women's drawers on the show really shock me, but they're just being rediculous when they pick on tiny little things that don't matter. My fave is when a builder uses the end of his screwdriver like a hammer, or something like that, and they go off about how "inappropriate" it is! Well, it's his hammer - does it really matter?!?
