Hi ladies

After having a still birth in january this year with no reason for it to have happened, I am pregnante again and am due in November.

I got pregnatne very quickly after everything that happened and am super parinod that this will all turn to custard I am under high risk care at the hospital so Im sure they would pick up any problems. But I dont feel very attached to this baby yet and Im not enjoying being pregnate.

Was just wondering if there was anyone out there that has gone one to have healthy babies after a still birth that might have felt like this??

Hi sorry to hear about your stillbirth :( One of my best friends lost her lil boy during labour in December 06 and went on to have a healthy baby girl in November last year. It was very hard on her but the special care and attention she got during her pregnancy helped put her at ease. She was especially anxious towards the end, and she too was induced 2 weeks before her due date. All the best to you!!

Hi Errii,
firstly I am so sorry to hear about your loss. can I ask what is your babies name?

I have just had a little boy 10 weeks ago. I had a stillborn Daughter (Anika) May last year (just like you for no reason) she was perfect, everything working just not her heart.
It was the hardest thing i ever had to go through. I again was like you I fell pregnant 8 weeks after giving birth to Anika.
I was under high risk as well, we dicided to see a specialist (I just wanted that one to one) with a specialist. I was scanned every week untl I hit 20 weeks as I was so scared that I was going to lose another baby. My SP was amazing.
My recent pregnancy was a dream, there was not a day go by when I thought what did taht pain mean...... it was hard and very long but we got there.

The only advice I can give you is, trust your body, talk to your baby because he or she is real and needs you to love it.

Thankyou for the replys ladies, His name was alistair I posted about the whole thing early this year, Its good to hear other people have felt like this and gone on to have healthy babies, just back to taking it one day at a time for the moment.

I'm so sorry to hear about your stillbirth

I've just had a healthy baby girl earlier in the year after my first daughter was stillborn 2years ago. Like you there was no reason found. I found this pregnancy hard even though it went perfectly - was seen by both the hospital and my midwife plus a zillion scans. I think it's hard to relax about pregnancy after going through something like that, but remember to use your midwife/specialist to put your mind at ease if you have any worries - they can give so much support.

One thing that I found helped was to find positive things I could do for me and my baby, eg I love cooking so made a real effort to eat well. Also I tried to find things that were beautiful to share with my baby, just stuff like the seasons changing, new flowers coming through...I remember telling my baby when I was pregnant about a beautiful magnolia tree that was flowering and now can't wait to show her it! That helped me pass the time and gave me something calm and relaxing to concentrate on.

Hi there
Such a sad loss and I completely know how you feel. Above my friend Alex mentioned one of her best friends, that being me... Although I took some time before getting pregnant again it take some time to get used to the new life growing inside me and even till the very end I did some what detach myself "Just in case" not till I had my little girl safe in my arms with her eyes open did I really feel at eaze but in saying that I still felt love for her and you need to try keep as positive as you can and definately always follow your instincts. If you feel anything isnt right or want some reassuring call your midwife or just pop into the hospital (just hearing bubs heartbeat always helped me)
Make sure you use your friends and family, people like Alex made the loss of my boy and the pregnancy of my little girl that much easier n knowing they were always there for me (thanks Alex luv ya!)
