I remember reading about them when they were pregnant with the 18th child. They seem like a pretty cool family, although I do think slightly insane to have that many kids, two is more than enough if you ask me!

Like that monty python sketch with the irish family, where the next baby just plops out whilst she is washing up and she tells one of the other kids to pick it up!

Oh, I have no doubt of their strength of character.
But to physically have 19 kids? I hurt just thinking about it

wow this is amazing!!! How do they finance so many children though? They all look so happy and i think its great as it seems that they fully care and love each individual child.

I believe they would get a lot from interviews, their books and TV show. In addition they do seminars on parenting etc. I was blown away the first time I read their website at how all the kids help each other and have an amazing sense of responsibility and family love and values. They are all home-schooled, all play musical instruments. I am blown away at the parents committment! Plus I read their eldest son's website and he sounds like the most amazing guy with an amazing marriage already. I know thier lifestyle and faith isn't for all but jesh I've always thought imagine what some of us could learn off them.
Ok must stop babbling!

I think by 19 , when you give birth you'd probably just go
"oooh ....ahh, there we go , that feels better !"
I think they are pretty cool as well, they are obviously a very loving , happy family , good for them .
Plus, I like on their website that you can vote for the babies name ! lol

I checked out their website sometime last year when they were having #18. They are also property investors, so would earn money that way too, as well as their t.v. show, interviews etc. Their house is HUGE!!!!! But very nice! I couldn't believe it when I heard they were having #19. But if I recall rightly, they don't use contraception? She was saying how she was on the pill after they got married then she got pg and miscarriaged so they decided to never use contraception again!

Good on them, they've managed to do it all themselves, without any handouts and if that's what they want go for it.
Their house is massive, although 4 washing machines and that many clothes, sod that - I hate doing laundry for 2.

Hey
I watch the tv show (I live in the states although heading home for good in the next few months - yay). Not sure if you get the show in NZ. The family built the house. Took them 2-4 years and the older boys did most of the labour. They don't beleive in credit and she buys alot of stuff at charity shops and makes her own washing detergent etc. It is nice, especially living here, to see a family not caught up in the commercialism of raising children. (wish I could say the same for me, lol)
They have commercial properties to rent out and also have a cell phone tower on the end of their property which the cell phone company's rent. Dad works from home feelancing court reporter or something like that.
I know the youngest was a c section as the baby was lying horizontal so not sure if she will try a VBAC or a c section this time. She has only had one other c section I think and no twins. They seem to be a really good wholesome family. No drama in the news etc. Quite religious - I think you would need a certain amount of faith to survive that many children. lol. They bought the land so that the kids could all build on it and have their families close by. I know the older kids have gone on to university too. It is amazing how they do it. Not something for me but definately something that is amazing. They always have people saying how well behaved they all are too.
I like the commercial kitchen behind the pretty kitchen. One for drinks and entertaining and one for the everyday slog. Also the laundry room that has a dressing room off it so she doesn't have to put the clothes in their rooms. Each kid has a shelving system for their clothes and there is a boy and girls dressing room. The clothes go straight from the dryer to the shelves and the kids get dressed from there. The are definately organised.
