For those using infant gavison and FF do you just add it to the bottle or give it after a feed, which is more effective??

Also, it says in the instructions to not use it for more than 7 days, but i'm guessing because my Dr has given 90 doses that it's ok to use for longer than that??

Oh and have you found sleeping them on their side/tummy helps?
I'm at my wits end with rocking her to sleep each daytime sleep. She falls asleep on me and I put her down and she just starts screaming again! Takes me a good hour to get her to fall asleep and in the end I'm sure she just sleeps out of pure exhaustion more than anything.......then it's only a 30min nap after that

Rrrrrr this is a bit of a rant, but I had the almost perfect baby up until last Thursday......the reflux seems to have just happened all of a sudden and it's such a shock to my system, as well as hers probably! I keep welling up when she's screaming in my ear, its so hard to hear them scream like that. I'm utterly exhausted and that's even when she's sleeping right through......I dread to think what would happen if she starts waking during the night........my ultimate fear

Sorry rant over

Can't help you on the FF, but we used to give it after a BF.

Yes we side slept. I had a safety wedge thing. It had a long side & a short side so I'd switch sides he slept on & the long side reminded me which side he was on the previous time.

I also used a rocker during the day time. Sat on the puter & just rocked him for a whole sleep.

I think it's fine to use it longer? Chances are it will stop being effective as it's just masking acid not fixing the acid production.

We just added it to her bottles, and it worked fine, it meant she didn't have to taste it.

She didn't side sleep but i raised the end of her cot/basinette up so the head was higher than the feet.

I think as they grow the stomach sphincter gets stronger and thats why the acid reflux gets better, and you can start to reduce the dose and then stop using altogether.

We gave the gaviscon in a muchkin before the feed, often they are too full to take it after their bottle. Because of the way the oesophagus curves babies with reflux sleep better on their left sides. We put Issy on her left during the day when the reflux was at it's worse and then on her right at night, so that she didn't get a flat head. Make sure you raise the head of her bed too, helps keep the acid down, we just popped a couple of good sized books under the feet of her cot. the bed should preferrably be on a 30 degree angle. We also had a hugabub for those days that were really bad, meant I could get things done and keep her upright while she slept
