Does anyone have a good easy one that doesn't involve a ice cream maker. I would like to some for a treat.

I've got a few recipes, I've not tried them but they come from a cookbook of good recipes. Will post them for you.

Howard's pear icecream with dairyfree option

3/4 cup sugar

1 egg

3/4 cup water

1 cup canned pears in syrup (drained and blended)

200 ml light cream

Mix together according to your icecream maker's instructions. For dairy free, use 1 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 cup canned pears in syrup (drained and blended), 1 and a half cups soymilk. For a special dessert, serve with the exceptionally delicious caramel sauce on p154 of the Failsafe Cookbook.

eta: Woops ice cream maker!
