Yeah... I've had the overhang since having c-sect #1, I managed to lose enough weight for it to not 'hang' so much (but it still had a 'pouch' effect out the front!) but then got preg again, that was 5.5 years after the first, then a year after c-sect #2 I was preg yet again so didnt really have enough time to lose as much weight as I'd hoped to (will be working hard on weight loss after this one is out and I have recoevered enough!)... I have a friend who has had 2 and shes tiiiiny, and doesnt have any overhang... but shes the kind of person who is next to nothing but skin and bones, so theres nothing there to hang if you get what i mean?

I just had my 5th c-sect on Monday, & yep, got overhang (well not yet from this one but normally), mine's mostly skin, the more weight I lose the more it hangs. I'm just looking forward to getting a tummy-tuck one day! (C-sect overhang apparently makes a perfect candidate for abdominoplasty) As for the recovery, I've found it much quicker each time, knowing what to expect & that any discomfort you're feeling will pass soon helps a lot too.

I have had 3 c sections and will probably end up with another one with my next baby, although will be planning a vba3c.
It definatly gets easier with each one, the pain is not so bad and healing time is alot quicker. But then i suppose everyone is different so it could be different for you. I was overweight with all 3 of my c sections and healed faster than some of the women in my ward who were normal weight. I really dont think weight has alot to do with it aslong as you are mentally fit all will be fine.
