Topic: Scar pain in subsequent pregnancies? Posted: 09 January 2011 at 10:16pm |
Did you c-section scar cause you much trouble during subsequent pregnancies? I'm only 6 weeks and am already having twinges from my scar, didn't expect that so early. Maybe I am imagining it.....

I wondered this too, for my 2nd pregnancy and perhaps my third as well. I didn't get it this time around. It seems the pains are not so much caused by the scar but by implanting and stretching of the uterus, which happens to any 2nd time mum regardless of their first delivery. Rest assured that you aren't about to fall apart

I had a few aches and pains. It is due to the scar tissue stretching.

One of my close mum friends had a lot of pain around her scar during her pregnancy and when she went into labour (then had her elective C/S then) they found the scar was 'windowing' (the tissues thinning around the scar) but this wasn't til right at the end of the pregnancy.
Just make sure your MW knows- that's where my friends said she went wrong cuz the doctor said surely she must have been getting quite a lot of pain from it, and friend said yes but hadn't told her MW cuz she thought it was normal- woops!
