Had mentioned casually to the doctor when i took DS along for these issues that perhaps it would be an intolerance to something and they just kind of went hmmm and carried on. If this sounds like symptoms of something i will go back and push it but perhaps its all normal baby stuff and i'm being a bit mental (first baby and all!)
Oh - i guess other factors are i have a huge huge oversupply (wondering if its all caused by too much foremilk though i try to express a bit off before he feeds) and i was dairy intolerant as a bubs (goats milk baby!) and his father remains intolerant to this day.
Gma is a coeliac.
His symptoms
*He's very mucousy, he rattles sometimes (that wet snot in the back of the nose sound) and snores and sometimes it sounds like he's got a phlegm ball in the back of his throat.
*He has watery poos - not diarrhea as they're not every 10min, he only poos 1-4x a day but they're not the nice yellow pippy ones he had as a newborn, they're oranger and runnier.
*He has a lot of wind which often gets trapped
*He can be quite spilly (but is happy about it so not reflux?)
*He has had so far three cases of 'tummy ache' where he's miserable for 2-4 days, has slimey poos (sometimes with a slight green tinge) squirms arches and writhes in pain while squealing. Spends those days sleeping chest to chest with me while i sit upright - he'll sleep half an hour or so then arch his back, squeal, i am on hand to rub and shh and soothe then he'll sleep some more repeated through the night.
*The last 'tummy ache' his poos were water but not frequent (1x a day) though i took him to after hours anyway and they said he was fine. He was a bit vomitty over those days too, took him to my regular GP as i feared dehydration but they said he was fine also and all i got told was 'its unusual for a b/f baby to have diarrhea'. Wished i'd brought his liquid poo nappy in to throw in their faces!
*He has had 2x attacks of hormone rash but no excema or other susupcious looking ones. I also had excema right until my teens.
WOW, writing a total essay sorry
Sound like an intolerance to anything? What are my next steps if so?
