I am just starting my journey of losing weight, using the Low G.I method of eating.

Anyone else want to join me?

I've researched it and it seems the most sensible, healthy and beneficial way to lose weight and keep it off and it has so many benefits. And most importantly, it's not a DIET! It's a way of eating and it's not cutting out anything we need. It seems to me, the best possible way to become healthier and lighter.

I just wanted to say that it totally is!
I've followed a low GI diet for the last 4 years or so and haven't had a problem with my weight at all. I only loosely follow it now, most of it is automatic now. I'm a good 8-10kg lighter than I was when I started and have had a baby...although I do drink a lot less than I used to!

Hi, it sounds interesting.... I'm keen to try something new. Ive never been a dieter, exercise and healthy eating has been me. But want to drop 20kgs so keen to try something new.

I don't know much about that though, do you have a good link that would educate me? :-)

Sounds great, I'm keen. Do you just aim to eat foods with GI less than 50?

This is a great eating plan. When pregnant I had gestational diabetes and was basically on a low gi and low fat diet. When my baby was born I was about 1kg below my pre-preg weight!

Escadachic I saw an ad in a magazine yesterday and thought of you- chelsea sugar have a new sugar out that is low GI, as I know you do baking sometimes (probably not as much on your new diet but still) you could use that in the occasional treat :)

Yeah, I'm thinking I'll switch back to low g.i eating. As the low carb diet isn't doing a thing, I mean, I've not lost any weight all week!

Plus, far more food choices with low g.i! Oh and that new Burgen bread for Weight Loss, yum! Especially with Philadelphia cream cheese! There was a tasting stand at the supermarket, so I got to try it. So yum!

Hello Dear, I also researched about it after seeing your post what Low G I eating is? Therefore I try to eat only from the Low GI index, which is highlighted in green. Mostly it’s including Quinoa, dry beans, whole grains, Fruit lentils, B Basmati Rice etc. All the best to both of us that we get better results soon.
