Did anyone get their babydaddies anything?
I bet I'm going to get a text from him tonight asking where his present is.
Got Bentley's Godfather some chocolate, though :)
Yeah, I brought DD's dad a box of choccies and she made him a card at daycare. He asked to see her so came and got her this afternoon for 2 hours. He actually took her to the park for once and they fed the ducks - must be nearly a first for him as they usually just sit on the couch and watch TV. She had a good time.
I took Hunter to see 2 of his great granddads and he loved it gave them both a card and a bag of biscuits, that Hunter picked out. Made it into a real special day, with the men he can rely on. Also made both of my granddads very happy.
Max's dad rang and asked to see Max today...there was an awkward pause like he was waiting for me to say something. I didnt. Then he reminded me it was fathers day by asking if i got my dad anything. My dads been dead a few years now (AND he knows it) so that fell flat. I suggested he ring his own father and celebrate with him. (He won't - they're estranged). Still considering making him a card from Max for when he sees him today. Just to be nice. Just to be the bigger person (and have the satisfaction of being the bigger person) but i probably won't. He wouldnt get the sarcasm in the gift and would find it genuine.
Did you ladies get anything for mothers day? I didnt (from the ex) so I decided not to get him anything. He came to pick Hunter up and looked at me, expecting me to say something and I didnt. Hunter made him a little cardboard container filled with lollies so that will do.
It was his bday last weekend, and I wasted my $$ getting a nice picture of Hunter enlarged and framed and didnt even get a thank you so Ive learnt my lesson! When Hunter is old enough to want to do buy a pressie for his dad I will do something, but not until then - ohh what a meanie I am!!
