Topic: SIO/AI2 nappies Posted: 09 September 2011 at 10:00am |
So I've culled 7 nappies from my current rotation due to the elastic going, I can't be bothered replacing it and don't really want to pay some one else to do it. I have enough nappies to last as long as I wash everyday. But with #2 arriving soon I'd like to get a few more.
I'm wanting to get some with snap in inserts and don't mind having a couple of different brands. I have some pop ins and itti SIOs already. Other than Gro Via are there any other brands out there to check out before I go ahead and buy some? I know Tweedle have itti tuttos and pop ins on special so I thought I might get a couple from there but wouldn't mind trying a new brand or 2! My other nappies are mainly pockets and I definately prefer the snap in style.
Any ideas are welcome!

Cute Tooshies Candies available at chic-cheeks.co.nz are a great OSFM AI2 minky nappy... No snaps to adjust the rise so they're not too bulky, they just sit higher around the waist on smaller babies. Oh, and they're a side snap nappy. They have a snap in insert and a lay in booster, but I find I don't need to use the booster. Although I have heard people successfully using them overnight with the insert and booster.

Thanks Jaune, I just spotted the monk n bear ones on there too. I just got a tutto and pop in from tweedle and will get some other ones once I know what this baby is. If it's a girl then I can justify getting more girly colours/prints. If it's a boy I'll have to do neutral otherwise I'll just be buying nappies that will only be in use for a few months.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about the Monk n Bear... I'm not totally sold on the rise adjustment on those, but I've never tried one so don't really know.

I've got a couple of Baby Beehinds in my collection from Cheeky Cherubs.
They are Petite All in II's and are very similar to Itti Bitti SIO's.
Have to say I prefer Itti Bitti's though, for easy of doing up on wriggly babies.

The BB's are similar fit to the Itti SIO's, slightly narrower between the legs. I gave them a try cos the snaps allow you to adjust the leg and waist seperately and if it wasn't for my girls giving me such a hard time when I put their nappies on I would prefer them to the Itti's in terms of fit.
