    Posted: 24 September 2011 at 5:28pm
Hi lovely ladies I recently purchased a bag of rockin green as the inserts of my pockets and ittis have been smelling a bit funky even after a wash. Soo I decided to do a striP wash first, but my question is do I just soak the inserts or the whole nappy? I have mainly pockets and sios/ai2s

Thank you;)

SB, I'd soak the both the inserts and the nappy so they're all nice and clean and free from any build-up.

You can either just soak them for a couple of hours then wash as normal or soak them overnight...guess it depends how much time you have. If they're still not great just do it again. Our washing machine has a soak function which is 2hrs long... Every now and then I just put the wash on and choose the soak option to give them a good clean.

You may have seen, but itti bitti had on FB this morn not to soak outers too long (maybe 30 mins) as soaking can damage PUL? I might do slightly longer though...would like to get a couple of 2nd hand ones looking less manky.

Yes Spacette - was just coming in here to mention that (albeit a wee bit late!).
It seems almost everything can damage PUL!

I reckon.
They should invent some sort of simple cheap nappy that doesn't use PUL and can be washed in anything and dries really quick...
