Hi everyone,

I am not sure, if this is the place to post my question, but I'll try

I am a Danish mum of a boy who is two months old. We live in Denmark, but I will be travelling to NZ in January, accompanying my husband, who will be working for the University of Otago for a couple of months.

During my time there, I'd really like to get out of the house aswell, so I was wondering which activities for babies (and mums) there might be in Dunedin? I was thinking of activities like baby swimming (big here in Denmark, starting usually at three months), mum-and-baby exercise, meeting up with other mums, etc. We will be living near central Dunedin, close to the university.

I am not really sure where to start looking, so thought I might ask here

Thank you for helping me!

Hi!

I live in Dunedin and have an 11 months old girl. We go to the Dunedin Parents Centre (http://www.parentscentre.org.nz/dunedin/Playgroups.asp) every week (they have different playgroups for different ages at different times, once a week, so there's something to suit everyone) and there are baby swim classes at the local pools - A quick google search should provide ample information! There are also "space" classes at many of the local playcentres (http://www.space.org.nz/). Many of the gyms here offer rooms with registered child carers to watch your baby (usually for about an hour) while you exercise :)

Feel free to private message me and get my contact info off me too :)
