Topic: High FSH/LH Posted: 16 November 2013 at 8:22pm |
Hi Guys, just wondering if anyone is going through the same thing and can offer some advice as to next steps from here. I am 28 and have one child but have had my AMH tested and is less than 0.5, my FSH on day 3 this month was 15 and my LH was 50. The nurse that rung me said this wasnt good and that i wouldnt respond to clomid. I have anotehr appointment with the doctor next week but just wondering if anyone has been through this - what treatment if any options there are? Thanks in advance.

Also my LH seems to be consistantly high so i am unable to use ovulation predictor kits as are always positive :( makes it hard to know when is the right time.

Hi PM, I had my amh done 2 years ago...it was .7.. I was actually pregnant at the time and didn't realise it so when I miscarried I decided to do it again...it came back at 1.3. Either way it was super low. I don't respond to injections for ivf anymore but I do respond to clomid. If it was low then I hate to think what it is now but I know that my fs says that I've only got another couple of years of regular cycles left. Can't they try you on clomid anyway and track you with a scan on day 12 followed by bloods to see when you ovulate?

Yeh they pretty much said it was my choice whether to try clomid but they pretty much put the chance of me responding at extremley low and not worth the $300 - we are still going to do this as it is a chance after all!!! So they gave you a timeframe of a couple of years? They havent said that to me - said it could be years away they just dont know. Its really frustrating as i just want to know!

They gave me a time frame but only because when I had my lap they saw that I had small ovaries like those of a 43 year old (I'm only 37) can't believe I have been ttc for the majority of my thirties.... Not exactly in my grand plan 😞 but I do have a beautiful dd so for that I am eternally grateful. 😘😄

I think it's definitely worth giving it a shot. I'm on to my fourth cycle with it and iui and I'm definitely responding. Let me know how you get on, I'll have everything crossed for you xx
