Topic: Mayo Chocolate Cake Posted: 03 May 2007 at 9:42pm |
2 cups Flour, 1 cup sugar, 3 tbsp. cocoa, 1 cup mayo (no miracle whip, we use Best Foods) 1 cup warm water, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1tsp vanilla.
Grease pan and pour batter into it. Bake at 180 degrees celsius or 350 fahrenheit for 35-45 minutes.
This is the easiest receipe ever and it has to be the best cake I have tried.

I thought that to start with but we go through a whole jar of Best Foods mayo in our house a week, so thought it was worth a try.

I am pleased you tried it. I use a small tin so as to get some depth to it. I made it on Sat and by lunchtime yesterday it was gone....
As for the mayo type we were told to use no Micarcle whip....we only use Best Foods, it is the 1 treat my DP gets....it is like $8 a jar!!!!
