Topic: How can someone do that? Posted: 15 June 2007 at 11:08pm |
On the news tonight about that 3 year old getting beaten to death (or at least died hours later) I cried. I feel what that poor child was feeling it his last hours of life. Not only that but he got taken away from the people he knew as mum and dad to go to his birth mother and father who killed him. What world do we live in, its horrible.
Also that guy from Hawera who sexually violated his 3 month old... WTF. How can they.
I cry a tear for every child that goes thru that.

Isn't it just awful. It's weird, it wasn't until I had my own babies that these stories affected me so. I always thought it was horrible, but now these stories always reduce me to tears. What must be going thru these peoples heads when they hurt innocent little angels.

What annoys me is with all of this section 59 stuff and the government talking about gettin tough on child abuse, and still these two people are only going to have to serve a minimum of 4 years!!! .
Our sentences for serious crime against children need to be a lot tougher!

Personally I would lock them up and throw away the key. These type if people should not be allowed in society. I know some people believe in second chances but that little boy didn't get one so why should they.
and I agree (as you would tell from my statment above) 4 years definatley not enough.

I think they should punish these people by doing to them what they did to the child. How about they beat them to death with a broken oar and baseball bat because they are so badly injured from the last beating that they can't physically get up to go to the toilet!
ANIMALS! And as for our court system - don't even get me started

I really felt for the adoptive mother too, how awful must she feel, yet it's not like she had a choice if his birth mother wanted him back. She's going to be on 60 minutes on Monday night, but I'm not sure if I'll watch it, it makes me too upset.

I hate these stories soooo much. Its so devastating that someone could do these things to a child and I always just think of what could have been going through that poor little childs mind at the end of their life. I think in a lot of these cases that death would be welcome to get away from the horrible abusive excuses for parents these children have.
I always think of that little boy James Whakaruru. I read a detailed article of the abuse that child experienced throughout his short life that ultimately led to his death and just sobbed and sobbed for that poor little boy.
Much tougher sentencing is required. Maybe Sue Bradford should do something about that...

What can a child possibly do that is bad enough to warrant getting beaten to death, those people shoud have the c**p smashed out of them, they are nothing more than poor excuses for human beings, more like animals, but then again animals dont do that to their young
