Looks like a very expensive key ring to me!! (sorry but the picture really does!). The name does nothing for me. I can't believe it's for real and I can't see anyone paying over $100.00 for that. Taking a peek in the nappy is cheaper!

Oh my god!! How stupid!
Do they really have to keep calling it a pissing sensor, surely urine or something would sound a bit nicer! But what a silly idea!
Karen.

Turns out it wasnt a joke! It got taken off by admin, but is back today with slightly different wording (now says wetting not pissing!). There are also 2 of them on TM so must be for real. Think it must just be someone selling whose English is not their first language...

The way the sales pitch is worded English is definitely not the first language...

What a load of cr@p! So you are bidding on something that looks like an overpriced keyring, and you don't even know what the actual item will look like?!

Someone left a question and said
Quote:
Hi! Does this product comply with NZ safety regulations? Thanks
To which the person said:
Thank you for safety concern. To our knowledge, power from a common AA battery is 1.5 v. Maybe power from one button battery under 2 v is unsafe for some babies or adults? Who knows. This is only a sensor, it is not worth to take any risk if have any concern. Please do not buy if have any doubt. Sorry, as above stated, item can not be returned, no refund, no compensation. Thanks for your interest.
And they are saying what exactly? It's for babies and they don't even know if it's safe for a baby to use...
Dodgy I say

Just read the other listing that they have for the same product, and there was a question regarding how hygenic it is -
How is this hygenic if a soft toy is put repeatedly under a babys wet nappy? Sounds pretty disgusting to me.
To which they replied:
Thanks for your hygenic concern, good question. Manufacturer designing is only to put the sensor under the nappy. Monitor head under nappy only. The sensor head is approximately 1mm X 15 mm X 19 mm, and with a line ( or maybe wire if you prefer ) attached to the toy. The soft toy is out of the nappy. The toy generally is with the baby, instead of nappy. That is the designing. But if user especially put the toy under the nappy, or other places, that is their choices. We could not restrict the . . .
*EndQuote*
(what else were they going to say I wonder?)
Also note the wire comment - is this from the sensor to the toy?? What is the chance of baby strangling themselves (especially in sleep) or wrapping round a finger etc?
This whole thing has me confused....

Geez That is just plain weird. Who would buy it. I mean its common sense when to change a nappy.
