Cook them with Carrots and then when mashing add some vinegar - totally yummy.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

This is our fave pot dish. We've adapted it to our taste.

Heat oven up to 200 degrees. (bake)

Slice up the pots (into rounds) and stick them in a bowl with water and then into the microwave for about 7-10minutes.

While they are cooking, slice up a red onion and cut up some streaky bacon (use as much as you want). We use 8 streaks for 4 of us.

Lightly oil a big fry pan, and fry the onion and bacon, stick in some garlic and ginger. Either the real kind or the kind that comes in a jar. (we use the jar kind). Then put the pots in and give them a good stir up with the ingredients that are already in there.

Then stick the whole lot into a flat baking dish and sprinkle with cheese.
You can either stir the cheese thru, or leave the cheese on top. Cook for around 10-15mins.

It's really one of those hit and miss recipes, just add in what you want.

You'd probably only need 2 pots each.

ETA: So it made sense!

mash them with a packet of cup of soup mix, or cheese... or both! or cream!

bake them, stuff them with yummy stuff...

roast them - my fave ... coat them with seasoning before like that moroccan or italian seasoning from masterfoods...

scalloped - baked with cream and onions and cheese...

buy a packet of cheese sauce mix and bake potatoe slices with that...

My DH is the same - potatoes are a staple food in our house... he loves potato bake, you can buy maggi packs at supermarket... otherwise make your own, but I am not smart enough for that...

I love roast potatoes cut up small, cooked in a bit of olive oil with garlic and rosemary.

I love hassle-back potatoes!!

Every week I stuff and bake potatoes with whatever we happen to have in the house.

Mash is a staple in our house, add a bit of mustard with the butter and milk, season with your favourite sprinkles... yum!

I slice ours - not all the way through, put in a tin where they are sitting right next to each other. fill half way up with chicken stock and brush the top with melted butter. Bake until the chicken stock is evaporated. About 180 for 30minutes, and then 220 for about 20

You can make your own potato bake just with cream, packet onion soup, chopped onion, all mixed together and then cheese sprinkled on top. Totally bad for you and oh so yummy!!

Sometimes for a treat I'll make DH a potato pancake ... peel and grate about 3 medium or 4 small potatoes, then squeeze them to get excess liquid out. Add a bit of salt and pepper, and then press it into a well-oiled frypan and cook on each side until brown, about 5-10 mins.

my favourite potato recipe i call "Smashed Potatoes"

Heat oven to 180
Cook potatoes in microwave for about 4-5 minutes
Remove potatoes and smash the top down with your fist (USE A TEATOWEL THEY ARE HOT) so it breaks open and reveals the white goodness inside.
Pour/Rub Olive oil over
Top with salt (and parmesan if you like it)

Cook for 10-20 minutes until crispy and DELICIOUS.
