This is something that really annoys me about people and their buggy's-they don't use the break instead they rely on the ground being flat. Even when the ground is flat the buggy can get caught by a gust of wind and away it starts rolling. It takes just a second to put the break on.

I tested my buggy the other day on what I am pretty sure was flat ground...and it still started rolling! (note i was very prepared to grab the handle once I realised)

mine has a strap attached to the handle to sling around your wrist. 

I've not used it much but def use it now especially in busy places with lots or people/traffic.
