Does anyone have/had these? Ever since I had DS (10months), it has been quite painful to pee (sorry tmi). The pain is an ache under my scar which subsides about 30ish secs once I have finished. I'm also quite achy if my bladder is full. I've had lots of other smaller issues with pain aswell. I've talked to my MW and OB and they both think abdominal adhesions from my c sect. If I need another c sect then they will remove all the scar tissue but it's highly likely it will reform. If VBAC then I have the option to have a lap a few months after and have them removed that way which also isn't 100% effective. Or I could "live with it" for the rest of my life basically. Has anyone else been through this?

Ouch I think it sounds very sore!

I cant really help you but I remember for about 1-2 week or so after my c/s I felt an odd trickling pain sensation when I would pee. It went away thou.

I definately dont think you have to "live" with it. I had my episiotemy repaired after VB and it was very sore but worth getting it fixed. Ive had a c/s since then and about to have another c/s within a month.

If I was you I would go for the c/s repair option, Spinal is far better to recover from than a GA.

VB can cause other issues with bladder and risk of episiotemy sttiches repair like I had too. Something you have to decide for yourself thou, have you talked to GP also?

Did you rest well/relax/get lots of help after your first c/s? Ive just read that overdoing it in the first few weeks can result in build up of scar tissue but dont know how tru that is. Im very lucky I didnt get any numbness or scar tissue from 1st c/s so really hoping this c/s goes just as well.

All the best!

Thanks for that. I had a really awful recovery from my c section. I was in soooo much pain, found it alot more painful than other people say. I started coming right after about a week and then developed an infection which was also really awful. Unfortunately DS was in NICU so I couldn't take it easy and was back and forth to the hospital and walking alot. I also had to drive after 12 days as there was just no other option for me getting to the hospital which was 1/2hr away. I really don't want another c section and I had a very positive VB with my DD (although she was tiny lol) so would rather go down that route if at all possible! No I haven't talked to my gp. My OB is one of the head ob/gyn consultants at Waikato and she would be the one to do the lap so I guess she knows what she is talking about. I've previously had a lap and it was definatley a much easier recovery than my c sect. She also did say there was a possiblility as this pg progresses, that it could help pull the bladder away from whatever it is sticking to as my uterus gets bigger so it could help/fix the problem. Fingers crossed I guess!

Hopefully Ob is right with the pregnancy progressing pulling it away theory that sounds like the best possible outcome. Thats good you've had a positive VB experience and Lap, sounds like the plan if things dont correct themselfs after this pregnancy, definately get on the queue to get it fixed! WE are in the 21st century there is no need to put up with pain like that for your life!!!

If things do end up with C/s thou make sure you look after yourself a bit better, ask for help/assistance from everyone you can, pick up that phone, dont feel bad ,a happy healed mum makes for a happy family.

I stayed 6nights in hosp and DH was home for 2weeks then part time for the following month, I definately bossed lots around, I learnt first time around that trying to do it all yourself A:gets you no awards B:Makes you sore and misserable, I did drive thou at 2weeks I just got bored at home, but just drove to friends houses for cupas and they would pick up teh bub in capsule etc, meet me at the gate.

Take care fingers crossed
