Topic: Sinking back again Posted: 27 February 2008 at 10:35am |
I thought I was doing really well and then Andrew's behaviour turned bad and Josh got sick.
I can cope with them at home, i'm happy being on my own I have my ways set and we are in a routine. But there are the times that I just want to run away. I'm sure the slight money issues we are having aren't helping either (they will get sorted next month YAY). I want to go to band tonight to have some time to me but don't want to leave Josh with the babysitter just at the moment, so i'm going to hope that my MIL can look after the boys so I can go out for a few hours.
I'm seeing our dr today for Josh and i'm going to talk to him about it all. I think I need some more help other than drugs, i'm hoping that Palmy does have a MMH section that can help me as i'm back at Massey now I want to do well with that.

I was just thinking yesterday, after reading one of your posts Becks, how much you are juggling at the moment.
Its understandable that with holding everything together you'd start to feel the pressure and need that extra help.
Good on you for being proactive and good luck chick.
I can really recommend counselling, aside from the obvious benefits, its really, really nice to have the time out to yourself once a week!

I agree with Caramel. You are doing an AMAZING job with all you have had going on. Good on you for being so proactive with getting help. Is you MIL helpful? Would she look after the boys for a couple of set times a week so you can have some time for yourself?
I hope it goes well at the doctor today.

Well MIL had the boys but due to the car accident I didn't make it to band to have "MY" time.
Dr is sure that it is the pill making me crazy so I finally have an appointment to see my gyne but it's a few weeks away.
What I really want is a few days and nights to myself to do as I please come and go when I want and not have to worry about anything (i'm sure we all do at some stage), but i'm sure I would worry about the boys.
I also think that maybe I am missing my mum - she is coming over next week - and knowing she is coming i'm trying not to build myself up too much as I know she has to go again.
And the fact that i'm still waiting for my councelling to start is driving me more up the wall.

I dont think you can go under MMH now Becks it would be mainstream MH. Well that is the policy down here.
I think your doing an awesome job!!! You have been coping so well. Yay for your mum coming over from Oz. I hope they hurry up with your counselling sessions.
Take care

I've given up on the people that I went to for the councelling. They never replied to my emails or phone calls so i'm not happy with them. I have tried another place and still waiting for them to get back to me, but i did just go out for a few hours.
I know I can cope with the boys, the house and my studying now DH has taken over the money side of things (that has always been an issue for me) as I have been doing them for a while now.
Liz that sounds like a good idea, we should sort something out for the school holidays, come over one time when your mum is over at your place.
