Topic: Help with business idea Posted: 24 November 2012 at 9:37am |
(Also posted in cloth nappy forum)
Just wanting to test the water before jumping in, I'm setting up an online retail store and have been looking at cloth nappies (I am a cloth nappy user myself).
But before I make any financial commitments I was wondering if forumites thought there was room for one more store? I'm looking at selling a mix of brands I've already seen available here as well as some different ones.
So many cool products out there but I don't want to make the wrong choices!
Any feedback would be much appreciated.

There are heaps of nappy sites - I guess if you were going to start up another one you would need a 'point of difference' something to bring people in and want to choose your store over another.
I agree there are heaps of products out there maybe too many to choose from so someone that has done the research and found some extra cool stuff would be cool.
The only thing I found really confusing when we started looking was, the types and how many you needed, plus most of the specials seemed to be related to big starter packs and wasn't ready to make that commitment, so something with a 'return customer discount' or loyalty card? could be another sweetner to get people in.
You could try contacting a mentor group, always good to have a business mentor to help or have a fresh stance on ideas.
Good luck

Snazzipants a NZ nappy store were thinking of selling a while back. Maybe you could see if they still thinking of selling and take on an existing store?

A very relevant topic for me. I am planning to open my own children's clothing store. I have already calculated all the start-up costs and started searching for employees. Tell me what I need to be prepared for when opening my own business? What documents need to be prepared?

Recently, work has become harder to find. If you want to find a remote job, you can go to remotehub and start looking for jobs. There are many vacancies for remote work. Also, there is a resume of people and you can hire them to work

Personally I believe that you also need to think about various outsourcing companies, just read more information about such things. I think that it may help you

Actually I strongly recommend you to learn more information about Tres Commas as they are the best in this sphere for me. You can learn more information here just in case you are interested so go there and check it there. If you have any doubts - just go and check all the reviews on the Internet.
