I actually knew of a girl in our antenatal class that is going for elective C from the beginning. She kept on telling herself every morning SAVE THE BEAVER GO FOR CESEAR. When I found out that I am needing one I told myself this as well. Didnt take the edge of however.

I'm destined to have a c/s next week as my little monkey has turned footling breech at 38 weeks. I asked if they/I could try to turn him but apparently his knees/legs and feet are really really jammed into my pelvis so turning isn't really an option.

The other thing is I have elevated blood pressure, so my midwife wants me referred to the hospital and in for a c/s very soon.

I think elective c section would be a bit better (in my mind anyway), make sure you get the c section recovery book Renee. My tip would be, after showering see if you can get someone to blow dry the wound site when you get home, having it really dry will help keep infectin away.
