Topic: Veet - Ready to use wax strips w/ Papaya Posted: 07 January 2007 at 1:41pm |
I usually shave my legs, but thought I would suck it up and do a bit of DIY waxing - and bought the Veet stuff. I must say, very easy to use and not as bad as I thought it would be in the pain department ! Does a good job of getting the hair off too, and the wipes for afterwards have the papaya oil in them too and leave your legs smelling really nice. The only bad thing I found is there probably aren't enough wipes for the number of wax strips, 10 wax strips in a box (and one kinda splits into two bits and I found it enough for both lower legs) and only four wipes.

You are braver than me - you wouldn't catch my legs near any type of waxing! OUCH!

I am not brave enough to wax myself, but I do go and get my eyebrows and bikini line done. When my midwife saw I waxed my bikini line she said " If u can do that, then u can handle childbirth",...what a joke! Its not like I go and get waxed continuously for 23 hours ( length of my labour), or that labour and giving birth is as quick as getting a wax! I wish! Lol!

Tattoos are painful, not two ways about it but after having my legs done once professionally, and being burnt by the wax, I would rather sit through a tattoo anyday - at least they last!

I'm a leg waxer - pay for it to be done. I actually found the waxing I had done before xmas the least painful yet and I was told waxing while pregnant is like waxing during period and I have done that a few times and it did hurt. I have had one bad experience with waxing and I only went to that place the once as they bruised the hell out of my legs it really hurt and they were very expensive.
With the drop in income I may have to look into that one Jax, was it easy to do???

Yep, super simple ! ![](smileys/smiley4.gif) And I figured if I have lasted through around 30 hours of tatooing, and having a baby, I can wax my own legs LOL

I have got some of that veet razera stuff, with the razer thingy, and I use it on my bikini line, it rocks. Too chicken to go near there with wax, even after having a baby and having 3 tattoos! Only waxed my legs twice since having jake, I made the mistake of thinking nothing would hurt after having a baby...WRONG!!

The one thing I love about waxing (i've been doing it now for 11 years) is that I don't have any hairs on the back of my legs anymore (the hair folical has died) and they are getting patchy on the front. My waxer thinks a few more years and they will be all gone. So hopefully if I wax them for a few months it will continue to die.

i find it harder to wax myself..so i pay to get done...mainly backs of the tops of my legs (which are very dark course hairs) and i get a brazilian once in a while...last one done at 5 months pg and have to say despite my girl being awesome it hurt a lot more than usual....!!!! still bearable...just!!! BUT cannot wax myself...
oh and BTW most painful hair removal experience ever...an epilady on bikini line....NEVER NEVER again...i know it works tho as tried on a friend of mine (male) on patch of his leg over 12 years ago and it has NEVER grown back...luckily a smallpatch! LMAO!!

So y'all would probably think I've lost my marbles if I told you I'm going to try the strips on my armpits and bikini line next?

Ouch, I can't do bikini myself, I pay someone else to do it it me instead! Make sure you rip them off in the direction of the hair, otherwise you end up bruised, learned that from experience.
