A simple foam insert designed by New Zealand medical researchers could help prevent babies from choking to death in their car seats.
The researchers, from the University of Auckland, Auckland City Hospital and the Cot Death Association, have found breathing problems are significantly reduced when infants are placed in a car seat with a foam insert, which helps their head lie upright in a natural position instead of slumping forward.............
i read this earlier and apprently its very bad to use them. you shouldnt add extra things to carseat as it seriously affects how the seat will work in a crash. im sure there is a car seat saftey lady who comes on here every now and again. she is also on the tm parenting boards and its been fully explained why these shouldnt be used.
I saw that article, I did wonder about the safety aspect but they look pretty good for supporting bubs head. We used a foam head support in the gremlins capsules to stop their heads rolling around coz they were so teeny tiny.

its got something to do with fact that the strapes of the capsual dont fit as snuggly as they should and in the event of a crash your baby could actually fly out of the capsual!
