Swimming is always a good sport for the health of everyone, both the old and young. So do mothers know that when they are a few months old should go swimming? I have read an useful article, I want to share it with all mothers.

How many month olds go swimming?

Mothers know the baby when the baby is a few months old should give the child
swim or not?

Age appropriate for children to swim:

+ When children are 6 to 12 months old and the water is warm enough, you can take your baby to swim. In case the mother feels cold water with you it will be too cold for your children

+ Since infants are unable to adjust their body temperature to adapt to the water environment, so until they are 6 to 12 months old and the water is warm enough. Swimming pools must at least have a temperature of around 28oC - 30oC which is best for the child. If you see trembling, do not let the baby swim again.

Some attention when swimming for children

+ Too hot water is harmful to your baby. Not only the water in the swimming pool but when bathing her in the pot, if the water heater is over 40oC, she will not be exposed unless she is 5 years old.

+ If the child is old enough to be able to
swim

You should always watch carefully, keeping a safe distance from other children. Do not let the water flood too deep compared to the body when standing because if children drink too much water or choke water easily lead to drowning or hurt his health.

+ Choose swimwear with appropriate material recommended for children, avoid wearing too large and too tight for children.

Some notes when swimming for kids
Both parents should attend the basic swimming course.

+ If a 3-year-old can participate in a swimming class, but should be sent to the swimming instructor, it is best to stay at his / her school to ensure safety.

+ When the baby is exposed to the pool water for the first time, do not rush, slowly and patiently to avoid feeling scared for the child.

+ If the child is too young should use neck support, avoid using float to the belly, because it is very dangerous.

+ Parents should learn basic first aid methods.
Hope the information above will help a lot for the mother in taking care of the baby!
