Topic: Not in the news yet, Icky palmy north Posted: 15 May 2008 at 11:16pm |
Haven't seen hear nor hide about it as yet... but,
On the way home from daycare this afternoon, my mum went past the bridge that goes over the stream near our houses, about 2 mins from hers, and only 2 streets over from ours. It was all cordoned off by police etc. Mum went for a wee nosey and asked someone what was going on..
to be met with the answer that body had been found in the stream, apparently about 6 weeks since death.
Can i just say ICK ICK ICK ICK ICK. It just makes me feel so sick. Sooo close to our house. and also ick ick ick, for the fact that mum often takes my nephew there to feed the ducks and has wondered why for the past couple of weeks the ducks have been all gone... i think i know why.
The first thing i thought of too, is the fact that heaps of kids go down there to play in the stream.. I really hope that it wasn't a kid who found it.

There is a news link to the article - strange they think they know who he is. I so can't remember hearing that someone had gone missing.

eeeewww!!! we had that not long ago - a body found in our river - turned out to be a 16 yr old boy that had been missing for a few weeks , a guy and his 8yr old son found it and the father asked the 8yr old to stay there and watch it while he went to ring!! then a few 15yr old boys swam down and the guy asked them to turn the body over to see so they did and totally freaked out!!! that guy was an idiot!!

what an idiot!!!
Ugh - that's gross and very sad. Most crimes & missing people don't make it into the media, which is scary when you think about the amount that do get written about! ...6 weeks gone?!? Oh my, I really feel for the person who found them. The poor family.
