Poor wee thing My five year old is only 25kg.
I do wonder about them saying that the average 11 mth old boy is 6-7kg tho, all three of my big girls were 7-8 kg on their first birthday and classified as grossly underweight, they said the average for a 12 mth old is 10-12kg.

yeah I would have thought your average 11 month old would be 8-10kgs? my girl is just under 8kgs and she's 9 months old.

Yeah I would have thought the average 11 month old was way more than that.
Harry's 9kg at 7months, yeah he's big for his age but he's only in the 75th percentile for weight, so not right at the top. But then we looked at my plunket book at the weekend and I was 9kg at a year. So yeah I reckon you're right that 8-10kgs would be about the average.

Miss K is 7.2kg right now at 3.5 months, so I hope that figure is inaccurate!

Maybe they mean the average weight for children of that age in that area and of that race? They may just be smaller/slimmer 'people'. Or they may have got their figure completely wrong Although I'm sure journalists would never exaggerate something to make a story sound more dramatic!

Yeah I was thinking it would be for the country etc. They look like very tall, thin people.

Wow poor little boy, it would have to be a condition as his bones are growing very fast too.
