They really do not like to induce women who have had a previous c/s. I was told if I needed to be induced they would use a new technique (well was new 2 years ago) where they put a catheter in your cervix and blow a balloon up to open the cervix then they wait either 12 or 24 hours can't remember which. Take the catheter out and are then able to pop your waters through the gap. It's only 50% successful though. So I would have been happy to try that, although it doesn't sound very pleasant, and would also have tried stretches and sweeps. I'm not even sure if they would induce you with the gel I forgot to ask them what happens if your in the 50% where the catheter thing doesn't work. Maybe they won't use the gel at all and you would go straight for a c/s in that situation.
They will give the synotocin if needed though, that part is fine, was just the gel that seemed to have a big no no about it.
Reading your notes from last time is a great thing to do, and write down all the questions you have so you remember at mw appointments and when you see the OB so you can get all of them answered.

I am planing on a VBAC this time it's only early days but everyone has been very suportive and i can even go for a water birth if I chose. I think it depends on the situations and resons there is no reason why I shouldnt be able to deliver normally ie: I'm not two small etc but I will see how i go if at any stage it's not looking good then i feel happy to go ahead with ceaser i'm pleased to hear right through you will always be given the choice even right through labour thats great
