Josh is only just 3 weeks old but I am becoming increasingly convinced he's got reflux...
I've got some infant gaviscon left over from when Cian had it (doesn't expire until 2011) but Cian didn't start meds until about 6-8 weeks - is 3 weeks too early??
I've cut dairy out of my diet (Josh is BF) but doesn't seem to be helping much and this morning he cried for over 3 hours before I could finally settle him (while dealing with my bored and energetic toddler!!) so I'm starting to get a bit desperate...
I would speak to someone first. What does your mw think? We thought Lily had reflux, and the mw said she may but she was gaining weight well so no need to worry about it. Although having one child already who's had reflux, you would know.
OT
We cut dairy out of my diet for different reasons and my doctor told me off because BFing - I need the calcium blah blah...
So now I am back having dairy and Lily's eczema has flared up again and she has the trots.
lil nic - that's what the doctors told us with Cian as he was gaining weight nicely and not spilling... but he was in so much pain (as were we with his constant screaming/no sleeping) that eventually i printed off the symptoms list from the crying over spilt milk website - highlighted his (nearly everything on the list) and took it into a new doctor and demanded they do something about it!! Just because they're gaining weight doesn't mean it's not doing damage...
I can't believe your Dr made you go back on dairy - surely he realises there are other forms of calcium??
OMG Nic your Doctor needs a punch! A calicum suppliment safe for B/Fing!!! OMG seriously
You can take blackmores I'm sure. I have Caltrate here & it doesn't say that you can't take it. I also have lifestream calcium and that specifically gives a dose for preg/bfeeding.
You need to make sure you are having 1000mg of elemental calcium so you need to read the side panel. I have this info from a dietician.
Sorry to thread jack but that just made me see RED
