Topic: Drunk pregnant 14 year old Posted: 29 January 2009 at 2:53pm |
There are a number of scary things - 14 year old pregnant, 14 year old driving, 14 year old drinking ..... Maybe CYPS should consider getting involved to support the family and the baby.
Pregnant girl, 14, accused of drink driving
1:00PM Thursday Jan 29, 2009
Police were shocked to find a driver they pulled over for driving erratically on Kamo Rd was only 14, four months' pregnant and allegedly nearly six times over the alcohol limit.
Whangarei police Acting Sergeant Kevin Crawford said the girl was stopped after her driving caught police attention on Tuesday evening.
She gave a false name and had difficulty spelling it. She was forbidden to drive and taken to Whangarei police station, where she recorded a breath- alcohol level of 828mcg. The legal limit for drivers under 20 is 150mcg and driving licences are not issued to people under 15.

This makes me so angry and sad at the same time. What kinda life has she had that she would want to do that and also where is her support. What kinda life is she gonna give this baby without any support, so sad.

Wow for a second I thought I was going to open this to read about my friends sister. Her lil sister is 13/14yo, preggers and drinking (and smoking marijuana) excessively. Has a bf that apparently beats her too, she has the attitude that if baby comes out 'retarded' she doesn't want it. Doesn't give a stuff about anyone other than herself - to me that's child abuse before the kids even been given a chance.
Any girl that falls pregnant under the legal age to have SEX should be made to abort in my opinion, if you aren't legally old enough to fornicate then you're hardly old enough to raise a child (especially when still considered one yourself). Heck I had my son at 19 and even then I felt relatively young, but 13 and 14? I hadn't even kissed a boy, let alone barely knew what sex even was at that age!

I'd like to know where the father of the baby is, maybe he needs to be locked up for a start so he doesnt go out and get other 14yr olds preggers....I dont condone(sp) what this 14yr old is doing but she's got some real life issues going on at the moment....I just hope she starts to take care of herself & her unborn baby from now on...... Very sad indeed

OMG where are the parents???
I wonder what can be done so things like this dont happen, she is still a kid and should have a fun time.
I think the child should be adopted out, obviously the parents arent going to help and the mother is so young and needs to enjoy life.
