Topic: What Diet / Plan are you on Posted: 23 September 2010 at 10:28am |
I did WW earlier this yr & then stopped going to meetings & just watched my points at home & exercised.
I am thinking about joining WW online or going back to meetings but don't know if I want to spend the money.
I feel I need something to get the motivation back on track.

Jazzy I think if Weight Watchers worked for you earlier this year (which it definately did) then I would go back to that for sure, you cant put a price on your health and happiness I say

im not a huge fan of WW but im doing it at the moment because i am solely eating the packaged food. alot of my food problem is i forget to eat or just cant be bothered and then i eat bad food with a crap metabolism so i need to make sure i actually eat. my flatmate left her points calculator here so i can actually work out other stuff if i eat it which is so helpful. with the kids, uni and packing to move to aus if it doesnt come in a packet i just dont get round to it. ive lost 800g in 3 days though so ill give it a shot and keep going till things settle down

Just over a month ago I joined WW, haven't been for a couple weeks due to being on placement and not having to time to make meetings.. Have got everything I need from there ( points guides, points calculator). So am just going to follow the plan at home, save the money I would use on meetings and use it for my mini rewards. I think I might start a virtual weigh in on here....then that will really keep me in check. It did well with my ILs, we had a weigh loss forum...but alas we never stick to it!!..but I have no doubt that there is success in numbers and with so many of us wanting to lose weight there is plenty people to keep me on track.

I am doing WW and it works if you make it work, I find I need to go to the meetings and it makes me accountable bit hard to hide those gains when someone else sees them.
I bought a 4 month pass which means I have to attend the meetings each week (think I can miss 3 before it no longer becomes value for money) to get the most out of it

I downloaded an ipod app (on my touch) and i add what i ate and drank etc and also how much exercise i did for that day. It's got nice wee graphs and stuff which keeps me on track and i can see if i don't do any exercise the calorie intake looks huge and i feel bad. I'ts kinda like big brother is watching me hehehe.
But yeap, less in more out is what i'm doing

I did 3 months of WW and never stayed for a meeting.. and then got too expensive..unfortunately i stopped bfing so could eat dairy and egg again in that same week lol...but after that week got hubby to weigh me in and got back onto biggest loser here and working so far..for me its walking whenever i can(much easier now it's light till 7) and keeping more or less to WW points(i do a few more a day than i should) but for me WW only works cause i am accountable so by being accountable to hubby and you guys it still works for me...
that and my motivation is always there to be better for my children ...so when i am thinking of flagging it i think of why i am doing it. working so far cause almost 15kg down since june

I'm doing weight watchers currently - always stay for the meetings too (which I never thought I would cause I thought they would be 'dumb') and have got to know people there, its great support. I'm down about 6kg in 10 weeks, so not super fast, but I'm still bf so don't want it to drop off too quickly.
By the way - in two weeks time, weight watchers are launching their new plan at the meetings... won't be launched 'publicly'... might be a good time to join if you are considering it, will be lots of support and information with the launch. Sounds likes its going to 'allow' for unlimited fruit and most vegetables, with some changes to the pointing system, and less measuring of food.

I think I have the same one on mine, I've been using it for nearly 3 weeks and it's awesome!
There is also the online website : FitnessPal
It has a lot of NZ foods already added so it's easy to use. And if it doesn't have the food in the database then you can add it.
