So I know he will be fine and happy for me to leave, but I am not so sure I will be I can't believe my baby is going to kindy next week. So how many of you had kids at kindy with out being toliet trained I am a little worried Alan might get teased by other kid's I know most of them a trained I am really tarting to worry about the toliet training thing he is jsut not intersted. Oh and how tired were your kid's after Alan is booked in for 4 afternoon's a week so a little worried that might be too much as we do music and other thing's in the morning.
Wow where does the time go.

Charlotte was mostly trained but she still had a few accidents those first 6 months really. The kids were fine teasing wise as far as I know- that didn't really start until 3 1/2-4 yrs (not about toilet training but about other silly things).

She was shattered after it for the first wee while. Even moving up from 3 mornings to 5 morning in September really took its toll. Maybe you can just see how he goes- look at cutting things back a bit if he seems to be struggling. I think he'll get used to it pretty quickly.

I was a big baby when I took her for the first time- I cried and cried, she was fine! They ended up taking me into the kitchen and gave me a cup of tea lol- how english!

Good luck with it- I'm sure hes going to love it

Alan will probably be like Kiya: she ran in through the gate yelling "Bye Mum!" over her shoulder, and that was it! I followed her not quite believing it, but she was happy. Kiya wasn't even slightly TT when she started kindy at 3y 2m. She wasn't interested sooner, and trained after attending kindy for a little while. She went for about 1/3 of a term, and day-TT in the break!

Josiah starts kindy on Thursday, 2 afternoons a week. He is 2y 9m and not showing any indications of being ready to TT. I'm not worried, he'll start using a toilet when he's ready.

I don't think there would be a problem. He may not even need a nappy change while he is there as it is only a couple of hours the afternoon session.

I can't even remembered if we had any issues when I worked at the Kindy in 2001.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Cool thank' guy's . I am pretty sure he will be fine and like you say Beck's chnace's are he won't even need changing there. I think it just a little more of Mummy not wanting her baby to grow up really.

Good luck with kindy! What an exciting adventure for you all
I am a kindy teacher in Hamilton, in a private kindy, and I wouldnt worry about the toilet training at all. I find the children don't even notice who is nappies and who isnt...and as mummybecks said, Alan might not even need to get changed during the kindy hours.
I'm sure he will have a wonderful time, he may get tired if he is used to having a sleep? Or maybe more so at the end of the week!
BTW, it is often the poor mums who get a bit more upset seeing their baby at kindy (I've often consoled mums at the gate, or with a cup of tea etc)
Have fun
