... I need to settle him down somehow. As he has a full arm cast on, he can do the stuff he loves to do - running, jumping, climbing etc.

He hates writing and colouring and has been grounded from his computer because of his bad behaviour.

Any ideas, as I think he is going to be in his cast for a lot longer after all the "accidents" he is having at pre school.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Lock him in the cupboard?

I'm not really sure you can contain them at that age... I guess you could enforce some strict guidelines on how he spends his time at home. Explain to him that these are being set to help his arm heal so he can have the cast taken off earlier.

Good luck.

jake pretty much did everything he usually did - just with one arm. luckily he didn't have a cast - due to his break being an elbow), so he went swimming a fair bit.
Cricket with one arm was good - we got a lighter bat for him. dad got t-ball which was a hit.    dancing was good. lego.

hope something was helpful

Dose him up on something

Toy cars?

Maybe something to make him think? tire him out that way?
