For my emergency c/s I had to take off my necklace. The midwife looked at my 20+ earrings (including one of those piercing type ones that needs pliers to remove) and decided to just put tape over them lol.
I had to wear the sexy open up the back gown and paper hat. My midwife shaved me with some of that foaming soap next to the hand basin and a disposable razor. I don't remember regrowth being a problem, but then again the infection etc kinda kept me occupied lol.
I had an emergency c/s i i only had to take my touge ring out i got to leave my engagment & wedding ring on, but i didnt have to drink anything or take a pill, but they had to get her out fast coz her heart rate went down to 50bpm. (was 140-150bpm)

Re the shaving - I wish they'd shaved more off, rather than just the top part, as the tape of the wound dressing went over the hairs - and that was like a waxing coming off!
