I'm looking for some advice from those that have dated single parents (who weren't a parent themselves) or those that are single parents that dated someone who wasn't.
What was your experience like, and would you recommend it to someone who wasn't a parent themselves? Do you find that the experience was overall enjoyable or more difficult relating to one other because only one of you was a parent?
The reason I ask, is because I've been doing a lot of thinking and soul searching lately about who I've been dating or willing to date, and I'm starting to think that maybe I should try expanding my search a bit to include single parents. I've always wanted to have children of my own someday, but have been hesitant to date a single parent because of worries that either I won't know enough about parenting to jump right into something like that, or if their biological dad is still in the picture that might cause complications, etc.
I guess I'm just wondering, is it worth it/should I even try, and what kind of things should I know or be aware of when doing so?
