Topic: What toys does your 2 year old love??? Posted: 05 January 2010 at 9:56pm |
Ive seen some very cheap toys so i think i might get a few things to put away for DDs xmas/birthday next year while they are 50-60% off etc.
What are some things your 2 yr old loves to play with???
TIA

My DD is really into pretend play type stuff, like tea sets, shopping trolley, tool kits, gardening set, dress-ups, dolls with prams and cots etc - we got her one of those little tikes kitchens for xmas and she LOVES it... also water play and sand pit type stuff is still a hit... books books and more books... we also play matching type games (colours, sizes, objects) and memory games. She still enjoys puzzles and we've got her some new ones with interlocking pieces rather than individual pics IYGWIM... Hope that helps

books books books here too and defintely the role play stuff. Tom LOVES his new tea set and we often get a ktichen from the toy library and he will "cook" on it for ages. He also loves his wooden Thomas set. He loves building towers with blocks and puzzles. tom is obssessed with the alphabet so he enjoys making words with the magnetic letters.
He also likes anything James has.

My boy is obsessed with cars (or anything with wheels). He also loves books, building blocks, things he can pull along. He loves his colouring books too.

Caprece loves dolls/cradle/pram and loves wee handbags that she fills up with stuff to take with her when pushing her pram. She loves copying me and getting her hair done all nice. She also loves her teaset.
Jack at two was more into action type things like bikes and balls and loved his wooden trainset.

Definately agree with the role playing things, Hayden is 17mths but loves his shopping trolley thingy and plastic fruit / food and his tea set (in a very manly blue with spots ) but also his trains and cars too. He is slowly coming around to jigsaws but loves his books, he hasnt really clicked with the duplo just yet and likes to watch me do all the hard work and then bust it up lol

Ditto Jaz! Cars and trucks here too. Also tool kits, anything for the water or sandpit, loves his new lawnmower (a $15 triang one), trike, loves balls, blocks, books.
Buy matchbox/hot wheels cars for boys on special - Jack has heaps and loves them all.
Oh, playdoh, magnadoodle, easel (black/white boards). He just had his bday last week so got all of the above. Loves his new slide too which we got 1/2 price (in fact everything we got was 1/2 price or less)
